Gray Treefrog

Treefrogs live in forests with mixed hardwoods, in trees along prairie streams, and bottomland forests as well. They can be found in knotholes in trees, and even in nooks on decks. (See “MDC Gray Treefrog”) This little frog was on our deck table, under a potted petunia plant. Later it was gone – probably up the hickory tree right next to the table.
This amphibian, like others, eats insects, spiders and other small invertebrates.
